Sonnet Gallery to Open New York Location |
|
Sonnet Gallery of Sarasota will open a second location in
New York’s Chelsea Art District in February, according to gallery
director Ramses Serrano.
“We are growing with our artists and look forward
to presenting them to a new and wider audience in
the capital of the art world,” said Serrano. “In
addition, we will be adding new artists in both
gallery locations.”
Founded in 1999, Sonnet will change its name to Serrano Contemporary/Sonnet Gallery
with the expansion and will maintain its Sarasota location in the downtown Towles Court artist’s colony
through the 2008 season.
The gallery, which features original paintings, sculpture and glass works by regional and international
artists, invites clients to sign up on its web site (www.sonnetgallery.com) to learn more and receive
email invitations to events at both locations as well as to help reduce paper waste.
“We hope our Sarasota friends stop in when they visit New York,” said Serrano. “In Chelsea alone, they
can explore more than 300 galleries within just a few blocks and discover art for every taste and budget.”
Serrano plans to divide his time between New York and Sarasota and remain active in the Sarasota arts and social community.
