Barbara Harrison is known for her large abstract wall sculptures and ceiling suspended works, both fashioned in solid brass. Notable installed commissions include those at: The Bank of Tokyo in NYC; Computervision in Boston; AT&T Company, The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Educational Testing Service in Princeton NJ; New York Academy of Medicine; and at the new Neiman Marcus store located in Tampa Florida.

Barbara most often works on a commissioned basis. For each sculpture, site visits are made and sketches (scale rendering or modello’s) are developed. The selected “sketch” serves as the sculptor's guide. Miss Harrison has exhibited her sculpture throughout the United States. Some notable exhibits include those at; The New York Academy of Design; The Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C.; The Chesterwood National Trust Museum in Stockbridge Massachusetts; and at Princeton University.
